As the son of an Egyptian cat goddess, Snowball is no fan of dogs. Unfortunately, he’s also a private eye with an ethics problem who finds himself on the wrong side of an expensive lawsuit. When a local breeder comes to him with a preposterous job, Snowball can’t afford to turn him down.

The new client is convinced his precious Norwegian Lundehund is messing around with a random mutt instead of making more designer puppies with her purebred mate. In tracking down this random mutt, Snowball must battle the elements, angry wasps, and his own insecurities, all while getting caught in the crosshairs of a bitter family feud. Throughout his investigation, he keeps coming back to the same question: do people really care this much about dogs?

The answer, of course, is yes—and in this case, Snowball’s livelihood depends on it.
