Ryan Klemek’s eclectic background includes stints as a caricature artist, a professional wrestler, and a personal trainer. These days, he splits his creative energy between writing and visual art, setting aside time to illustrate his own book covers. He insists on crafting his words and pictures without the use of AI.

Ryan is a lifelong lover of humorous whodunits. His Mangy Detective series combines classic noir with absurd science fiction and cartoon silliness.

In addition to writing novels, Ryan runs a flash fiction publication on Medium called Short & Weird, which showcases quirky (sometimes transgressive) stories by up-and-coming writers.

When not writing or painting, Ryan spends hours at the gym “getting swole” and even more hours in the kitchen making homemade ice cream. He currently resides in Somerville, Massachusetts with his wife, Vanessa, and their two cats, Dr. Zoidberg and Leela.
